Suspected Texas home invader impersonating cop inadvertently shoots accomplice, meets own death: Authorities
Texas authorities are looking for two suspects who fled the scene after a botched home invasion that left one man dead.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said that just after 11 p.m. on Thursday “multiple suspects” dressed in body armor kicked in a door at a residence in Katy, which is located about 30 miles outside of Houston. The suspects entered the house for “unknown” reasons and began shooting. One suspect is alleged to have “inadvertently” shot his accomplice.
The suspected shooting took place in a home with three residents, including the homeowner and his two adult sons. KTRK heard the sons tell KTRK that they were trying to fall asleep when they heard someone banging on their doors. The suspects claimed they were hearing them as Houston police officers.
