RUFUS DU SOL have won the Grammy award for best dance/electronic recording at the 2022 Grammys. This is the third nomination and first win for the Australian trio.

The group’s Jon George and James Hunt took turns at the microphone for their acceptance speeches at the Grammys premiere ceremony. Tyrone Lindqvist, Tyrone Lindqvist, and Warner Records’ manager thanked their team and thanked their managers, partners, and manager for helping them to reach the Grammys. They also noted that it was a “beautiful journey .”

Lindqvist also gave a shout out to his four year-old son, “who gets me and my wife to sing ‘Alive!’ every night before going to bed .”

The trio was previously nominated in both of the of best dance/electronic categories in 2020, which inspired a drive to take home the award.

” I want to win very badly. I think it’s fair to have that hunger,” George recently told Billboard. It’s a healthy drive. Although it’s not the reason why we make music, to receive accolades, it is nice to be recognized and have people identify with our work. It’s validating, to put it bluntly, and something we have dreamed about. To win a Grammy is another goal. It would be a great honor to have the award in your home .”

It seems that life has thus just gotten sweeter for the group, who also told Billboard that if they win, “we’re going to sit down together and have a celebratory lunch with our partners and team. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able bring everyone into what you’re doing. It’s in Vegas so I expect a big party. We’ll probably DJ and have some laughs either way .”
