Politico contributor dragged for adding Meghan Markle to list of narcissists: ‘Abusive trash’
Twitter user Joanna Weiss was dragged by Politico contributor Joanna Weiss for including MeghanMarkle on a Monday article. Some took to the platform to call the decision “abusive trash.” “
“Elon Musk, Sam Bankman Fried, Ye (ne Kanye West), Elizabeth Holmes and Meghan Markle were all rewarded with attention and ego fuel and were rewarded for it.
“We are drawn to people who love ourselves,” Weiss wrote in his article.
“Somewhere between the fifth and sixth hour of ‘Harry and Meghan…’ my natural sympathy for the couple started turning to irritation, and it occurred to me that ego has its limits. It struck me that the same impulse that made Elon Musk a terror on Twitter led to Ye’s outrageous behavior that saw Bankman-Fried move from the top of the world to a Bahamian jail ,”.

An ex-tennis player Martina Navratilova slammed Markle’s inclusion on the list, saying, “Politico sucks at this.” “
Television host Ted Allen ripped the decision as well, joining others who claimed that Markle is unlike Trump, Musk or others who made the list, writing, “It’s borderline libelous to include the delightful #MeganMarkle with those psychos. She was once a judge for #ChoppedJunior and could not have been more kind. “

Others criticized the inclusion as racially motivated, with some accusing Weiss of not only being a racist, but also of being jealous of Markle. Although Weiss was a contributor to the article, some criticised Politico for its history of critiquing Black and biracial women.
Critics was so popular that the hashtag #joannaweissracist was created. Later,
Weiss criticized Markle for making legitimate complaints between glamour shots, alleging that her search for attention is only augmented by tragic footage and stories that encapsulate her lives.

“The legitimate complaints are wedged between glamour shots, from footage of Meghan getting fitted for ballgowns to a vast collection of flattering photos and videos they took during their royal exit, apparently preparing for a photogenic tell-all. Even sympathetic critics have complained that there’s nothing new here, other than the vanity,” she wrote.
Others included in Weiss’ piece include Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
