Lil Baby Brings ‘In a Minute’ & ‘California Breeze’ to 2022 AMAs

The rapper took everything back during the awards show.
Forget backup dancers and bombastic stage elements — Lil Baby appeared at the 2022 AMAs on Sunday (Nov. 20) and proved that his star power is all he needs to light up a stage and keep viewers engaged.
The rapper took the introspective route to perform two tracks from his album It’s Only Me “In A Minute” and “California Breeze”. He had only four musicians on stage, including the keys, guitar, and drums. Plus, he used introspective blue lights, smoke, and smoke to create a more relaxed, moody vibe. Baby was able to spit “Breeze” as the blue light switched to red and reflected on the hard work that he had put in.
Both “In a Minute” and “California Breeze” hail from Baby’s 2022 album, It’s Only Me. Released in October, the LP spent four weeks on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and peaked at No. 1. “In a Minute” was released as the first single from the project in April, at spent a total of 26 weeks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and peaked at No. 5; “California Breeze” is currently at No. 4 on the chart. 2.
One award was presented to Lil Baby at this year’s AMAs. The rapper was nominated in the favorite male hip hop artist category. He was up against Future, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Durk, and Drake. Lamar was presented with the award, although it was not given during the broadcast ceremony.
