Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker Have the Ultimate ‘Fairytale’ Proposal in ‘The Kardashians’ Episode 4: Recap

The Kravis proposal episode of Hulu‘s The Kardashians officially aired on Thursday (May 5), and it was just as magical as Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker made it seem when they announced their engagement back in October 2021.

The fourth episode of the new series opens by the KarJenner crew driving up to the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito (Calif.) where they plan on surprising the happy couple following the big event.

Kourtney’s children Mason, Penelope, and Reign were not present at the surprise proposal. They were there with Scott Disick, their father. Kris Jenner decided to not bring her kids to the surprise proposal in order to not upset Scott Disick and to allow Kourtney the freedom to tell her big news to her children the way she wants.

When the group gets to Montecito, Kris, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie, Kris’ boyfriend Corey Gamble, Tristan Thompson and the family’s friends Simon Huck and Phil Riportella hang out on the balcony before Jenner gets a text that the proposal is about to happen, right at sunset at 6: 16 p.m.

” I feel like I’m living a fairytale,” Kourtney tells the camera, as flashes of the jaw-dropping red-rose-filled proposal flash across the screen. “I couldn’t have wished for anything more perfect. I’ve never in my whole life dreamt of getting married until Travis and until this relationship.”

She said that Travis’ proposal says a lot about him. He is super romantic. It’s perfect because he did .”

The newly engaged couple enters the hotel to be surprised by their entire family, including Barker’s children, and a spectacular dinner show.

Kris breaks down as she hugs her oldest daughter and offers congratulations. Through tears, she said, “I’m so happy to be a mother to my first-born.” This makes my heart so happy. I am so happy for you. I can’t believe I’m happier right now. It was a joy to share this experience with you. He loves you so much. I will never forget how sweet he was and I want to tell you that I am so happy for you. I know how hard you waited and I cherish every moment with you .”

Kris also became misty-eyed while toasting the couple and sharing that Travis went to Kourtney’s grave to ask for his blessing to wed his daughter.

Kourtney still needs to tell her children the news. Penelope Disick (9 years old) calls Kourtney and begins to cry. She hangs up when her mom tells her that she is engaged. Kourtney says to the camera, “Penelope took this hard.” “I think it’s big for her and she loves Travis, but I don’t think she knows what that means. Is that taking you away? She doesn’t seem to understand what it means.

” “I think it’s really important that Scott is accepting of our relationship in order for the kids to feel good,” she says.

Relationships are both in bloom and in decline throughout the episode. Khloe tells the camera that she is back together with Thompson, a NBA player, after his cheating scandal. She tells the camera, “We’re good.” “We are actually in a really great place. We were reunited. He has been to therapy and it’s taken a lot of effort from his side.

” When we split up, I learned how well we got along and how good friends and partners we are.” She adds. “I have a lot of hope and faith and optimism for our future together.”

While on a walk with Kim, Khloe asks her sister how her relationship with estranged husband Kanye West is going. Kim replies that she hasn’t spoken with him since he left the SNL table during her monologue.

“He was upset that I used the word “divorced” to describe why I had divorced him. She explained that he would prefer I use the word “filed” for divorce. He was also upset that I said that he was a rapper. He replied, “I’m so many more than a rapper. I can’t believe you said rapper.'”

” I’ve sat through so many speeches, and things that haven’t been the most comfortable. But that was my partner and he stood by me. She said, “I would never embarrass him by leaving.” Khloe responded, “Not just speeches.” You’re his wife, but you may have strong public stances. It’s unfair .”

The two men end up agreeing that Ye is “so used” to getting everything he wants, but it’s “not going be happening anymore.”
