Mat Schuster

Mat Schuster is Executive Chef at the Warming Hut, a natural foods café that is part of San Francisco’s Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Formerly, he served as Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef at San Francisco’s esteemed Bay Club where he focused on fresh, naturally healthful cuisine. His cooking career took off after a trip to Italy while in college, prompting him to enroll in the California Culinary Academy’s College of Food in San Diego. Recently, Mat earned a nutrition educator accreditation from Bauman College in Berkeley. Previously, Mat has been a class manager and cooking instructor for Draeger’s Culinary Center and cooking class coordinator and instructor for Whole Foods Market. He is also an ongoing instructor at a number of renowned local cooking schools, including: Parties that Cook, Sur la Table, Ramekins, and others.
